The Governing Council of the Petroleum Federation of India at its 20th meeting on July 31, 2009 approved shifting of PetroFed office to PHD House on August Kranti Marg. It was appreciative of the comprehensive 100 Days Agenda for Government that had been sent to the Ministry and the initiative taken for amendments to the Pipelines Act to make punishment for sabotage and pilferage more stringent.
The Governing Council approved the Annual Report and audited accounts of the Society for 2008-09.
The Governing Council accorded its approval to the proposed marginal amendments/alterations recommended by the Awards Committee for PetroFed Awards 2009 on the basis of experience garnered during evaluation of 2008 Awards.
The Governing Council appreciated the work being done by the PetroFed Secretariat and approved plans put up for the forward period during the current fiscal.
