Workshop on ‘Natural Gas Processing and Natural Gas / LPG Pipeline
Transportation’
In its endeavour to enhance Industry Academia Interface and provide opportunity to teaching faculty to upgrade their knowledge, the Petroleum Federation of India organised a three-day residential workshop on ‘Natural Gas Processing and Natural Gas / LPG Pipeline Transportation’ from June 29 – July 01, 2009 at the GAIL Training Institute, Noida jointly with Lovraj Kumar Memorial Trust (LKMT) and GAIL India Ltd. It included a study tour to GAIL Terminal at I.P. Estate Power Plant.
The programme provided exposure to 17 teaching faculty from 10 AICTE approved Engineering Colleges from five states. It was inaugurated by Dr. U.D. Choubey, CMD, GAIL India Limited. Shri S.L. Raina, ED (HR), GAIL welcomed the participants and the invitees, while the presidential address at the inaugural session was delivered by Dr. I.B. Gulati, Trustee LKMT.
There was no participation fee for the programme and free boarding and lodging was provided by GAIL India Ltd. There were nine lectures from industry experts and the participants rated the overall effectiveness of the programme at 81%.
