Climate Change and India |
A brilliant exposition on the various issues concerning ‘climate change and India’ was made to the Energy Think Tank by Dr. Prodipto Ghosh, Distinguished Fellow, The Energy & Resources Institute and former Secretary, Ministry of Environment & Forests on October 10, 2008 at PetroFed conference hall.
The meeting chaired by Shri T. N. R. Rao, former Secretary, MoP&NG was called to order by Shri J. S. Oberoi, Convener, Energy Think Tank. Shri Mukesh Rohatgi, CMD, EIL was a special invitee.
Dr. Ghosh advocated harmonizing India’s energy efficiency standards with industrialised countries. He later answered a host of questions from senior industry members who constitute the Energy Think Tank.
