For the third consecutive year, a Senior Management Meet on ‘Implications of Union Budget on the Oil & Gas Sector’ was organised at Mumbai in knowledge partnership with member company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on July 08, 2009.

The session was chaired by Mr. Naresh Narad, former Chairman, Public Enterprises Selection Board and Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. A keynote address on ‘Issues in Achieving High Growth Again’ was delivered by Prof. Sebastian Morris, IIM Ahmedabad. The participants were welcomed by   Mr. P. Raghavendran, Vice Chairman, PetroFed and President – Refinery Business, RIL.

The detailed implications of the Union Budget on the Oil and Gas Sector in Direct Tax was presented by Mr. Rahul Garg, Executive Director, PwC and in Indirect Tax by          Mr. Santosh Dalvi, ED, PwC.

The industry perspective was presented by Mr. B. Mukherjee, Director Finance, HPCL and Mr. R.G. Subramanian, Convenor, Tariff, Duties & Taxes Committee, PetroFed and Sr. Vice President, RIL.
